Letting go is hard, but how far would you go to bring back a loved one? The teaser for A24’s upcoming film Bring Her Back previews just how scary, what appears to be, necromancy is.
A YouTube viewer commented: “I never got goosebumps on watching a trailer before…I don’t know why but this shot 0:43 is unsettling for me!!!”
The synopsis for Bring Her Back reads: “A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.” The teaser showcases eerie visuals, an unsettling atmosphere, and an escalating sense of dread as rituals and oddities occur.
The cast for Bring Her Back includes Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins (The Shape of the Water, Wonka), Billy Barrat, Olga Miller, and Liam Damons. Filmed in Australia, Bring Her Back is Directors Danny Philippou and
Michael Philippou‘s second feature film. The twin brothers are best known for their breakout horror hit Talk to Me.
One Youtuber commented: “Moment I saw that it was the Talk to Me directors, I was sold. Sally Hawkins being in it makes me even more excited!”
Another added: “I don’t think I have been this unsettled by a trailer before. Loved Talk to Me, so I’ll be watching this.”
Bill Hinzman and Danny Philippou are the credited writers of the film, which hits theaters on May 30. Hinzman is also credited with writing Talk to Me and its soon-to-come sequel.
