Jack Harlow took his first BET Awards performance to new heights with a guest appearance by R&B’s very own Brandy! The “I Wanna Be Down” singer swapped her sultry notes for some sassy bars during Harlow’s performance of “First Class.”
“This Black excellence at its finest. Don’t call me Brandy no more call me your highness,” she rapped while rocking a shiny black puffer jacket and thigh-high boots.
On the other hand, “What’s Poppin” rapper Harlow kept his all-black ensemble simple with a tank, plain slacks, and sneakers, but his energy was high as he dropped in some ad-libs throughout Brandy’s verse. However, he wasn’t the only one hype about the Mississippi artist’s BET Awards performance.
Her brother Ray J, who made quite the meme of himself during Thursday’s Verzuz battle, was also spotted in the crowd cheering his bis sis on. But don’t get it twisted, Brandy gave the “One Wish” singer some love as well.
“Built tougher than my brother Ray J glasses,” she rhymed.”Woke up a beast now it’s madness…Singer slash rapper. Rapper slash actress.”
Earlier during the performance, Lil Wayne also joined Harlow on the stage and the three posed for a photo backstage. I think it’s safe to say this performance will definitely be a highlight of “culture’s biggest night”. #BETAwards
