After watching this trailer when I went to see Sinners (for the second time), I knew I had to do a trailer reaction video for it! The hints of gore and chilling, ominous vibes were just too good not to explore. Here’s what you need to know about the plot, cast and trailer for HIM.
Plot
HIM follows Cameron Cade, a rising football star played by Tyriq Withers (Atlanta, the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer), whose entire identity revolves around the game. Just before the all-important pro scouting Combine, Cam is violently attacked by a deranged fan and left with a serious brain injury that threatens to end his career before it even begins.
When things seem hopeless, help arrives in the form of Cam’s idol—eight-time championship quarterback and global icon Isaiah White, played by Marlon Wayans. Isaiah invites Cam to recover and train at his secluded estate, where he lives with his influencer wife Elsie (Julia Fox; Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move). At first, the opportunity seems like a dream—until Isaiah’s charm shifts into something far more sinister. As the mentorship deepens, Cam is pulled into a disturbing spiral that could cost him more than just football.
