Teyana Taylor didn’t let the coronavirus stop her from throwing a release party for her upcoming project titled “The Album.” The event took place on Wednesday and was hosted by TV personalities Terrence J and Karrueche Tran.
“I’m so proud of you,” Tran said. “I can not wait for the world to see your masterpiece. I love you to death you are my girl. We’ve been through so much together ya’ll.”
According to the image Terrence shared on his Instagram story, Taylor provided stylish hazmat suits and face masks to “invitees.” Various celebrities shared videos and photos from the private listening party on their social media. Among those in attendance included Cardi B, Offset, Lori Harvey, Odell Beckham Jr., Snoh Aalegrah and Christian Combs.
Cardi and Offset also brought their 1-year-old daughter Kulture Cephus to the celebration. Taylor and husband Iman Shumpert’s daughter Iman “Junie” Tayla, 4, was also spotted on the dance floor. Furthermore, the party comes just days after the couple revealed that they are expecting baby number two with the release of her latest song “Wake Up Love” and its visual.
Some social media users couldn’t help but call out Taylor for risking her and her unborn baby’s health by throwing a party amid the spread of COVID-19. The singer and many of her attendees were spotted without masks on during the event.
Taylor has yet to comment on her decision to have a party. However, her third studio project “The Album” drops on Friday. Features include Erykah Baduh, Quavo, Kehlani, Missy Elliot, Future and more.
