Hola What’s Hot Fam,
Let me start by saying ‘It’s some wh*res in this house!”
For my more conservative readers, this post may not be for you because Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s latest single “WAP” is anything but.
“I’m talking WAP, WAP, WAP
That’s some wet a** p****”
-Cardi B
The rappers released the raunchy, but catchy tune and its visual at midnight on Friday. And let’s just say it’s left many fans shook including some of your favorite female celebs. Among those to react to the release were rapper Remy Ma, actress Halle Berry, and singers JoJo, Kehlani and Miley Cyrus.
Remy Ma, known for her hits like “Conceited” and “All the Way Up,” showed some love to Cardi and Meg while on her Instagram live.
“So WAP’s video is fire,” she began.” I watched it like five times. The visual is just so dope. They just look so fire…I haven’t even got to listen to the song because I just keep watching the video…Anybody that says anything otherwise is just a hater.”
And you probably remember JoJo as a teen in the school bathroom singing “Leave (Get Out),” but sis is listening to WAP just like the rest of us. She took to Twitter shortly after the song’s release to show Cardi and Megan some love.
“Party In the U.S.A.” singer Miley Cyrus shouted out the rap duo in her Instagram story on calling them both “Queens.”
Halle Berry, who iconically starred as “Cat Woman”, also took to Twitter to chime in on the release. The mom of two created a meme using a gif from the “WAP” video.
An amused Cardi quoted Halle’s tweet with “Lmaaaaoooooooooooooo sooo freakin funny”.
Kehlani also earned a retweet from the “Bodak Yellow” star after she shared her approval for the single’s visual shortly after its premiere.
As of press time, the video has reached over 20 million views in less than 24 hours. The single has also reached #1 on Apple Music’s Top Songs Chart. Friday evening, Cardi shared a post on Instagram announcing that she would also be giving fans a look of what went on behind the camera.
She wrote: “BTS COMIN SOON REAL SOON ! I canโt wait for you guys to see. Everybody work hand in hand and so hard.Sharing ideas and creative on group chats. It was soo dope.We wanted to do more stuff but we ainโt had enough time๐ฉ”
“WAP” is available to stream on all music platforms and stay tuned for some wet a** merchandise as well!
