Travis Scott and Billie Eilish Fans Rally for Award Wins Ahead of GRAMMY Performances; Billy Joel Added to Line Up

Hola What’s Hot Fam,

If you aren’t advocating for your favorite artist to win an award under social media posts, are you even a fan?

Well, that’s exactly what the fans of Travis Scott and Billie Eilish are doing ahead of the 66th GRAMMY Awards. On Instagram, a slew of comments can be found affirming that the GRAMMY Performers deserve to win an award (or all of them) and even accusing the Recording Academy of snubbing in previous years.

The Recording Academy exclusively reported to What’s Hot that approximately 1700 members of the new 2,400+ diverse 2023 Class are voting members. Furthermore, it announced that 50 percent of this class are people of color. Their participation in the voting process has helped decide the winners of the 2024 GRAMMY trophies.

Billie Eilish is one of the leading 2024 Grammy nominees with 6 nominations. Her nominations include Song of the Year for her hit song on the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack, ‘What Was I Made For?’; Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her feature on Labrinth’s ‘Never Felt So Alone’; Best Song Written For Visual Media for ‘What Was I Made For?’; Best Music Video for ‘What Was I Made For?’; Record of the Year for ‘What Was I Made For?’; and Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘What Was I Made For?’

Eilish’s fans have expressed how much the ‘Barbie’ track moved them and vouched for the ‘Bad Guy’ singer’s merit.

One fan commented under a Recording Academy performance announcement post, “This song deserves a Grammy 100%. The songwriting is everything❤️”

“SHE DESERVES ALL THOSE GRAMMYS” another virtually screamed.

One fan warned the Academy that “if billie gets robbed…y’all will not be seeing daylight.”

“She better win her 6 nominations!!!!!! She deserve it more than anyone else ❤️,” another user added.

“No cap— one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard,” fellow artist Caleb Colossus commented under a post the artist shared about her Oscar nomination.

Someone else noted, “getting this many nominations on one song without dropping an album is impressive. 2024 will be your year along with finneas!!!”

In the land of Utopia, Travis Scott is nominated for Best Rap Album. As Bill Board reports Scott has received 10 GRAMMY nominations throughout his career, but has yet to win. This is something his fans aren’t taking lightly, especially with him set to perform.

“If y’all make him perform and not give him again istg,” a user stressed.

A comment that stated “never forget the robbery of 2018” earned over 3000 likes. Based on replies, the statement seems to be in reference to the ‘Goose Bumps’ artist losing Best Rap Album win for ‘Astroworld’ to Cardi B’s ‘Invasion of Privacy’ at the 61st event.

“Gonna rip him off again ?” one fan questioned. “Let him [perform] on your bullshit show and then rob him of another Grammy? Still a fucking joke Astro didn’t win but if utopia looses your show is a huge joke.”

Another cheered, “TRAVIS, GO GET THAT GRAMMY 🏆”

“the greatest performer of all time,” added another fan.

Someone else commented, “Don’t take nothing away from bro he deserves it”

Alongside Scott and Eilish, Five-time GRAMMY winner and Legend Award recipient Billy Joel has been added to the lineup. The announcement was made today on social media just two days after Joel announced the release of “Turn the Lights Back On,” his first new single in decades.

Previously announced performers include Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo.

The 66th GRAMMY Awards will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. The annual event will be hosted by comedian, producer and political commentator Trevor Noah for the fourth time.
