Here are a few things you should know before watching The American Society of Magical Negroes. Written, directed and produced by Kobi Libii (Koe-bee Luh-BEE) the satire follows a young man, Aren (Justice Smith), who is recruited into a secret society of magical Black people who dedicate their lives to making white people more comfortable. His mentor Roger is played by David Alan Grier.

The American Society of Magical Negroes hits theaters on Friday, March 15.
