Hola What’s Hot Fam,
If you’re into eerie aesthetics, freaky body horror, and themes of codependency turned up to 100, this one’s for you. Let’s take a look into the cast, plot and trailer for Neon’s latest horror flick, Together.
Plot
Together isn’t your average love story—or your average horror movie. Directed by David Freyne (Dating Amber), this psychological horror centers on a couple whose relationship spirals into something deeply disturbing after they relocate to a mysterious town. As their emotional connection intensifies, so does a terrifying physical transformation. The result? A surreal, gory, and oddly intimate ride that explores love, identity, and the dangers of being too close.
Think body horror meets emotional trauma, wrapped in arthouse lighting and eerie silence.
Cast
Together is written and directed by Michael Shanks and its his feature debut. Notably, the film stars real‑life couple Alison Brie and Dave Franco in the lead roles of Millie and Tim, and both also serve as producers on the project.
Main Stars
- Dave Franco as Tim
- Alison Brie as Millie
- Damon Herriman as Jamie
- Mia Morrissey
Supporting Roles
Other credited roles include Jack Kenny (Luke), Sunny S. Walia, Karl Richmond (Jordy), Charlie Lees (Male #1), MJ Dorning (Male #2), Tom Considine (Mr. Wilson), Melanie Beddie (Mrs. Wilson), Sarah Lang (Keri), and Rob Brown (Chaplin).
Trailer
In the second official trailer for Together, Neon continues to blur the lines between intimacy and horror, offering a visually intense, emotionally twisted look at a couple being quite literally pulled into each other’s bodies. With its eerie neon color palette, unsettling close-ups, and body-horror elements like interlocking eyelashes (yes, you read that right), the film builds tension through mystery while holding back on deeper plot details. While the lack of supporting characters and narrative clarity leaves some questions hanging, the trailer succeeds in evoking curiosity and discomfort. A solid 3.5 out of 5 flames, Together promises to be a haunting, artful exploration of codependency turned nightmarish.
Release Date
Neon’s Together hits theaters today, Wednesday, July 30.
If you’re into skin-crawling horror with a side of emotional chaos, Together might just be your next favorite freaky date night pick.
